Game Changing ‘The Division’ update 1.4 Comes Out This Tuesday!

Just a few hours ago during Massive’s “State of the Game” livestream for The Division, they revealed that the much anticipated update would be launching on all platforms this coming Tuesday. These updates overhaul a majority of the games mechanics to a fantastic game that has been held back by a few, glaring issues. But these updates are not just to fix lingering issues, but to also make the experience better than ever.
Some of the changes that stand out right away is a change in the time-to-kill system which will make the game feel more like a tactical shooter and my personal favourite, the introduction of world tiers. I’m especially excited for world tiers since it will allow players to select the level of enemies they will face dependant on their gear score. I didn’t have a chance to play the PTS on PC since I have it on X-Box, but I’ve heard great things about it especially when some people compared the changes similar to what the initially turbulent but now incredible, Diablo 3 went through. Another big stand out is the fact that Massive is putting a heavy emphasis on the PVE elements of The Division, allowing players more to do in the world, especially for those who don’t want to enter the treacherous Dark Zone.
A tactical shooter set in a fantastic and atmospheric world with the level of changes and care that Diablo 3 went through? Count me in! I will definitely be heading back into the post apocalyptic world of The Division in search for that sweet, sweet loot.
